How much is an hourly chauffeur in Paris?
Rates start at €85 per hour for a Mercedes E-Class, €100 for a V-Class van, and €120 for an S-Class. All rates are fixed and cover fuel, tolls, parking, water and unlimited stops within Paris.
What is the minimum booking?
Three hours. This is the same minimum used by MyDriverParis, PrivateDrive, Grande Remise and every serious operator. Two-hour bookings exist in the budget tier but leave no room for a real itinerary.
How many kilometres are included per hour?
There is no kilometre cap for stops within central Paris and the inner arrondissements. The vehicle is yours for the booked block. Trips outside Île-de-France use the transfer rate instead of the hourly rate.
Can I extend my booking on the day?
Yes, if the chauffeur has availability. Extensions are billed at the same hourly rate in 30-minute increments.
Is the price the same at night and on weekends?
Yes. No night surcharge, no weekend surcharge, no surge. €85 per hour on a Tuesday morning is €85 per hour on a Saturday night.
Are tolls and parking included?
Yes. Périphérique tolls, A-road tolls into Île-de-France, and parking fees at every stop are all in the hourly rate.
Can the chauffeur speak English?
Yes. Every Singh chauffeur in Paris speaks English and French. The same standard we run in Washington DC, London and Tokyo.
How is this different from a fixed airport transfer?
A fixed transfer is one price for point A to point B. Hourly is the same vehicle waiting across multiple stops. If your day involves more than pickup plus one drop-off, hourly usually costs less than paying for separate transfers.
Can I use hourly for a Versailles or Giverny day trip?
You can, but for pure out-and-back day trips a fixed excursion rate is usually better value. Ask us for the excursion rate to Versailles, Giverny, Champagne or Normandy.
What vehicles are available?
Mercedes E-Class for one to three passengers, S-Class for the same capacity in a more prestigious cabin, V-Class van for four to seven, Sprinter for groups up to sixteen. Rolls-Royce and Bentley on request for weddings.
How much notice do you need?
Twenty-four hours is comfortable. Same-day bookings are possible when a chauffeur is free. Fashion week and December weekends need earlier notice.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free up to 24 hours before pickup. Between 24 and 6 hours, 50 percent. Under 6 hours, the full amount stands.
Do you handle business roadshows?
Yes. Give us the meeting list. We plan the drive order, wait at each stop, stay silent during calls, and keep you on time to the next meeting. Corporate billing available for repeat clients.
Can I book a chauffeur for shopping?
Yes, and it is one of the most common uses. The chauffeur waits with the vehicle while you visit Chanel on Avenue Montaigne, Hermès on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, Galeries Lafayette or Le Bon Marché.
Can I book a wedding chauffeur?
Yes. Weddings typically run six to ten hours from hair salon to venue, ceremony to reception, and back to the hotel. Rolls-Royce Ghost and Bentley Flying Spur are available with three weeks notice.
What about Paris by night?
A four to six hour evening block covers dinner, cocktails, club and hotel return. No taxi hunt at 2 a.m. and no driving after wine.
Do you cover La Défense?
Yes. La Défense and the surrounding towers are inside our standard Paris zone. Business days that move between La Défense, central Paris and airport hotels are our main business use case.
Can we drink in the car?
Discreetly, yes. We do not carry a bar service, but bringing a bottle is fine. Complimentary water is always in the vehicle.
Is the chauffeur the same all day?
Yes. One chauffeur, one vehicle, the full block. This is important for luggage, shopping bags, gifts and privacy.
How does hourly compare to a Paris taxi?
A metered Paris taxi charges per kilometre plus €39.60 per hour of wait, plus night and Sunday surcharges, plus extras. For a multi-stop day the taxi meter and re-booking cost more than a fixed hourly rate.
How does hourly compare to Uber Black?
Uber Black is priced per ride with surge risk. It does not wait between stops. Hourly is a private car for the block: no re-booking, no surge, no cancellation risk on the driver side.
Can you meet me at the airport and stay hourly for the day?
Yes. We meet you inside the terminal at CDG, Orly, Le Bourget or Beauvais, then convert to hourly for the rest of the day.
Do you offer child seats?
Yes. Rear-facing, forward-facing and booster seats at no extra charge. Request at booking with the child's age and weight.
Do you serve English-speaking clients?
Yes. Singh Car Service is US-headquartered in Washington DC (since 2008) and most of our Paris clients are English-speaking. Every chauffeur handles the booking in English by default and switches to French with vendors on your behalf.
Do you have chauffeurs in other cities?
